Cycle Enfield – exhibition of latest drawings for A105

This will be Cycle Enfield’s final exhibition of drawings for the A105 (Green Lanes) scheme, revised after the public consultation. Come along to Palmers Green Library on Thursday 19 May from 3 to 8pm to see plans and visualisations for the Green Lanes route, see what changes were made following the consultation, and talk to council officers.

You can also see the revisions made after the consultation on their webpage under ‘You said – we did’ – a handy summary of how people’s concerns have been responded to.

As ECC, we are pleased that most of the concerns we raised – mostly about the design of junctions for cycling, and placing cycle lanes on the outside of parked cars – have been addressed in the revised plans. The planners have also taken into account issues for bus passengers, pedestrians and drivers. It’s nice to feel listened to!

From the 19 May the revised drawings will also be available online at the Cycle Enfield website.

There’s no confirmation yet, but since the statutory consultation is over by the end of June, we could see work begin on the A105 this summer.
